SketchAnchor Privacy Policy

Updated September 15, 2026

Almo Learning ("we," "us," or "our") provides SketchAnchor, a general-audience creative tool for iOS and Android (the "App"). This policy explains how the App handles information, why it is used, how long it is kept, and the choices available to you.

1. Summary

You can use SketchAnchor as a Guest without creating an account. Optional Apple or Google sign-in exists to separate local workspaces on the same installation. Projects, reference images, and snapshots stay on your device and are not uploaded, synchronized, or remotely backed up by the account feature.

The App automatically sends crash and diagnostic information to Firebase Crashlytics so that we can find and fix reliability problems. Automatic crash reporting is enabled by default.

2. Information stored on your device

The App may store the following information locally:

  • projects and project metadata, including project names and editing settings;
  • reference images that you import or capture;
  • snapshots that you choose to save;
  • overlay position, scale, rotation, filters, grid, and tracing settings; and
  • temporary files needed to import, export, share, or process content.

This content remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it using operating-system features. Deleting the App may delete locally stored content, subject to your device's backup and restore behavior.

Each signed-in Firebase identity receives a separate local database and file directory derived from, but not named with, its Firebase user identifier. The App uses a local owner record to prevent one identity from opening another identity's data. Account deletion removes this local workspace only after the remote result is known and after you choose which project copies, if any, to keep in Guest. Exported archives remain where you saved them.

3. Camera, photos, and files

SketchAnchor may ask for permission to use your camera or content you select from your photos or files. These permissions provide camera tracing, reference capture and import, Sticky Trace, snapshots, and project transfer.

Camera frames used for preview and tracing are processed on your device. SketchAnchor does not intentionally attach camera frames, reference images, project files, or snapshots to Firebase Crashlytics reports.

When you use a system share sheet, file picker, photo picker, or backup service, the receiving application or service handles the content under its own privacy terms.

4. Automatic crash and diagnostic reporting

SketchAnchor uses Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google, to automatically collect crash reports and related diagnostic information. This may include:

  • crash traces and information about the App's state when a crash occurs;
  • crash time, App identifier, App version, and session information;
  • device model, operating-system version, CPU architecture, available memory or disk information, and whether the device appears modified or rooted;
  • Crashlytics installation UUIDs, Firebase installation identifiers, and randomly generated session identifiers; and
  • native crash-processing information, such as minidump data, when applicable.

We use this information to identify, diagnose, prioritize, and fix crashes, application-not-responding events, and reliability defects. We do not use Crashlytics information for advertising, and the current App does not include Google Analytics.

We do not intentionally send your name, email address, project names, images, camera content, or a custom account identifier to Crashlytics. Crash reports can nevertheless contain technical application state, so we avoid placing personal or user-created content in diagnostic logs.

Automatic Crashlytics collection is part of the current App configuration and the App does not currently provide an in-app switch to disable it. Google processes this information on our behalf and may process it in countries where Google or its service providers operate. Google states that Crashlytics keeps crash stack traces, extracted minidump data, and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from live and backup systems; temporary minidump data may be discarded sooner after processing. See Privacy and Security in Firebase and the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Optional account information

The App uses Firebase Authentication, processed by Google, for optional Apple and Google sign-in. Depending on the provider response, Firebase may receive or generate a user identifier, provider identifier, display name, email address (including an Apple relay address), authentication tokens, IP address, user agent, app identifiers, and security or abuse-prevention metadata.

SketchAnchor displays only an optional label or email address and linked provider names. Provider photo URLs are discarded, and credentials or tokens do not enter project storage, analytics, Crashlytics metadata, filenames, or exports. Apple and Google process provider authorization under their own terms.

SketchAnchor operates no cloud project, remote profile, or other service-side account database at launch. The remote record deleted in the App is the Firebase Authentication identity. Deletion does not delete your Apple or Google account.

6. Information we do not currently collect for our own services

SketchAnchor does not currently provide or use:

  • cloud synchronization of projects;
  • advertising or cross-app advertising tracking;
  • precise location collection; or
  • sale of personal information.

If a future version changes these practices, we will update this policy and the applicable app-store disclosures.

7. Why we process information

We process optional account information to authenticate users, prevent abuse, secure identities, and separate local workspaces. We process diagnostics to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the App. Depending on your location, the legal basis may be performance of the requested service, legitimate interests, consent where required, or another lawful basis.

8. Disclosure of information

We may disclose information:

  • to Google and its service providers as needed to provide Firebase Authentication and Crashlytics;
  • to Apple or Google when you select that sign-in provider;
  • when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request;
  • to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, the App, or our organization; or
  • as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Locally stored projects remain on your device until you delete them, clear App data, or uninstall the App, subject to device backups. Google states that Firebase Authentication may retain IP addresses for several weeks and that removal of most Authentication data from live and backup systems may take up to 180 days after user deletion. Crashlytics retention is described in Section 4.

10. Your choices, rights, and account deletion

To request deletion without the app, visit Delete your SketchAnchor account for the support email, request steps, ownership verification, and details of what is deleted or retained. A support request cannot remotely erase files stored only on your devices.

You may stay in Guest and never create an account. You can sign out, export a project, manage linked providers, and initiate account deletion in Settings → Account → Delete account. Before remote deletion, the App asks you to copy selected projects to Guest or permanently delete the complete account workspace, including snapshots and temporary files. A failed or cancelled remote step keeps the identity and local workspace intact.

Account deletion does not cancel, refund, consume, or transfer an App Store or Google Play purchase. You can deny or revoke camera and photo permissions in your device settings, although affected features may stop working. You control when locally stored projects or images are exported or shared.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability for personal information we control, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Crashlytics data is generally associated with generated installation or session identifiers rather than a SketchAnchor account, which may limit our ability to identify a specific report as yours. Contact us to make a request.

11. General audience and children's privacy

SketchAnchor is a general-audience creative utility, not an app directed specifically to children. Guest does not ask for age or contact information. Optional sign-in may provide a name or email through Apple, Google, and Firebase; their account eligibility, age, region, and parental-consent rules apply. The App does not collect date of birth or infer age.

If we learn that personal information from a child has been provided in a way that requires parental consent or other protections, we will take the steps required by applicable law, which may include deleting the information. A parent or guardian may contact us with a privacy question or request.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy at this public address and revise the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice.
