Almo: Wood Block Puzzle Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Almo Learning (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Almo: Wood Block Puzzle. This policy explains what information the game and its service providers process and how it is used.

Information We Process

  • Local progress and preferences: level progress, puzzle state, star ratings, the saved hint balance, first-completion reward flags, earned and spent hint counters under random app-generated synchronization keys, local ad frequency counters, the age category for ad requests and when it was confirmed, whether a rating request was used, and sound, music, vibration, and reduced-motion preferences are saved locally on your device.
  • Optional daily reminder: on first launch, Wood Fit asks for notification permission and waits for your answer before continuing. If you allow it, the app schedules one local puzzle reminder for 8:00 PM each day in your device’s local time. The reminder is created on the device and works offline; we do not collect a push token for it or send it through a notification service. You can decline and keep playing. Device settings control notification permission and delivery.
  • Optional Google account: if you choose Sign in with Google, Google and Firebase Authentication process the Google profile information provided for sign-in, such as your name and email address, and create a Firebase user identifier. Firebase may also process IP addresses, user-agent information, and authentication events to provide security and prevent abuse.
  • Optional cloud progress: while you are signed in, your level, star ratings, current puzzle state, saved hint balance, first-completion reward flags, earned and spent hint counters under random app-generated synchronization keys, and hints used in the current level are stored in Cloud Firestore under your Firebase user identifier so progress can be restored and synchronized across your devices. Sound, music, vibration, and reduced-motion preferences remain device-local.
  • Purchases and bonus hints on Android: Firebase Authentication creates an identifier for the app, including when you do not use Google sign-in. RevenueCat uses that identifier to check offers, ownership, restores, and refunds. Our Firebase Cloud Function verifies the active Google Play transaction through RevenueCat. Cloud Firestore stores the remaining purchased bonus-hint balance and lifetime use count per level under a transaction-derived identifier, so a restored purchase finds the same bank. The RevenueCat Firebase extension also stores purchase events and customer entitlement information in separate Firestore collections linked to the Firebase identifier. Google Play handles payment; we do not receive your payment card number. A pending payment does not unlock Premium. The app checks ownership again when returning to the foreground; confirmed refunds or revocations remove Premium access. An uncertain bonus-hint request is retried with the same locally saved request identifier to avoid spending twice.
  • Advertising: Google AdMob displays occasional interstitial ads between levels and optional rewarded ads for extra hints to players without Premium. On the first launch of the iOS or Android app, players must select their age group (13–17 or 18+) and continue before entering the game, including players with Premium. Neither group is preselected. The app does not ask for a date of birth; only the selected category and confirmation time are saved locally. Valid age categories saved by earlier versions are retained. No ads are requested for players whose age is unknown or under 13. For ages 13–17, Wood Fit uses Google’s child age treatment, a G maximum ad content rating, and non-personalized requests. Adult ad requests are also non-personalized. The Android app blocks access to the Android advertising ID and the Privacy Sandbox Topics and Attribution permissions for every player. Google may still process IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, other device and app identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver, prevent fraud, and measure ads. Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) collects and stores advertising consent choices where required. The app does not request precise location for ads.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics for Firebase receives screen views, level starts and completions, hint use, app version, device information, and an app installation identifier.
  • Crash diagnostics: Firebase Crashlytics may receive error messages, stack traces, app and device details, an installation identifier, and nonfatal failures caught during tutorial or puzzle startup, preparation, rendering, or graphics-device loss. These reports may include whether the tutorial or game was open, the puzzle level, the stage of the failure, app lifecycle state, whether the puzzle was visible or paused, and drawing-surface size. Error reports can retain the underlying asset or graphics error that caused the failure. Caught rewarded-ad failures and unavailable hint-ad attempts may include the ad SDK error code, failure stage, whether test ads are enabled, ad loading and initialization state, consent readiness, presentation and retry state, puzzle level, and whether Premium ownership is known, owned, or unowned. The rewarded-ad reporter does not copy raw ad-provider messages, request URLs, or ad response identifiers. We do not attach your Wood Fit account identifier, email address, purchase tokens, or saved puzzle to these diagnostic reports.

The game does not require Google sign-in. You can continue playing with progress saved only on your device. Purchases use an anonymous Firebase Authentication identifier if you do not sign in with Google. If you do not choose Google sign-in, the game does not ask for your name or email address. Purchased bonus hints require an internet connection to check and update their shared balance. The game does not request access to precise location, photos, camera, contacts, or microphone.

How We Use Information

Local progress and preferences let the game restore your puzzles and settings. If you sign in with Google, account information authenticates you and cloud progress lets the game restore and synchronize gameplay across your devices. RevenueCat helps us display store offers and determine whether an in-app purchase is owned, including after a restore or refund. Firebase Cloud Functions and Firestore enforce the one-time purchased bonus-hint bank and its per-level limits. Analytics helps us understand which screens and game actions are used. Crash diagnostics helps us identify failures and improve reliability. We do not use Wood Fit account data to target ads. AdMob requests are non-personalized, but Google may still process the ad data described above.

Storage And Retention

Removing the app removes progress and preferences saved locally on that device. Signing out stops account-based synchronization on that device but does not delete the account or its cloud progress. Cloud progress remains until the account is deleted or we remove it in response to a verified request.

The ad age category and confirmation time and ad frequency counters are stored locally and are removed when the app’s storage is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Saved hints, including ad-earned hints, and their synchronization key also remain on the device until storage is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Signed-in hint-wallet records remain in cloud progress until that progress is deleted. The app asks for an age-group selection again at launch after one year, or if the locally saved choice is missing or invalid. No date of birth is collected or retained. Google handles ad delivery and consent records under its own retention practices. Deleting a Wood Fit account does not automatically delete Google’s AdMob or UMP records.

RevenueCat retains purchase and entitlement records according to its retention practices and applicable legal obligations. Store purchase records may also remain with Google Play. The purchase-linked bonus-hint ledger remains while the purchase can be restored, so reinstalling does not refill previously spent hints. We also keep our Firestore copies of RevenueCat customer status and purchase events while needed to support purchase ownership, restores, and refunds. Deleting a Wood Fit account removes identifiable Firestore customer and purchase-event copies, removes account identifiers from historical bonus-hint spending records, and requests customer-profile deletion from RevenueCat. The transaction-based hint balance and per-level use counts remain for restoration and abuse prevention, without the deleted account identifier. Deletion does not refund or cancel the one-time Remove Ads purchase; Wood Fit currently offers no subscription. Restoring an eligible purchase or using purchase features again can create a new anonymous account and purchase profile, while spent hints do not refill.

Google states that Firebase Authentication information is removed from live and backup systems within 180 days after account deletion is initiated, and that authentication IP logs may remain for a few weeks. Firebase Crashlytics keeps crash traces and associated installation identifiers for 90 days before starting removal. Analytics and other information already sent to Firebase is handled according to Google’s Firebase privacy, security, and retention practices.

Service Providers

We use Google Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Cloud Functions, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Play Billing, Google AdMob, Google UMP, and RevenueCat. Google processes information for its services under its applicable terms and privacy practices. Learn more in Google’s Firebase privacy information, Google’s Privacy Policy, and RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.

Account And Cloud Data Deletion

Open Settings → Delete account (at the bottom of Settings) to permanently delete your Wood Fit account and cloud progress. Confirm deletion and, for a Google-linked account, verify the same Google account. Anonymous Firebase accounts created for Android purchases can be deleted from the same row without Google sign-in. The app deletes the Firebase Authentication account, its Cloud Firestore progress document, linked Firestore copies of RevenueCat customer status and purchase events, and account identifiers on historical bonus-hint spending records. It requests customer-profile deletion from RevenueCat, which may take additional time, and confirms the result in the app. If a request cannot be confirmed, synchronization pauses and you can retry. If you cannot access the app, use our Wood Fit account-deletion page to request deletion without reinstalling. Deleting the Wood Fit account does not delete your Google account or erase store transactions, the transaction-based hint balance, device-local progress, AdMob or UMP records, analytics events, or crash reports retained separately as described above.

A minimal security receipt with the deleted account identifier and known purchase-profile aliases is scheduled for automatic removal after 24 hours to prevent cached credentials, retries, and delayed purchase notifications from recreating data. Firebase’s automatic removal can take additional time after expiry. A pending receipt remains if cleanup fails, until the deletion completes. No new bonus-hint spending records contain your Firebase account identifier.

Children’s Privacy

Wood Fit is intended for people age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. The first-launch screen states this 13+ audience and requires an age-group selection. The app requests no ads while a player’s age is unknown or when a previously saved category indicates an age under 13. No date of birth is collected or retained. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Your Choices

You can play without an account, sign out to stop cloud synchronization on a device, delete your account and cloud progress in Settings or request deletion through our website, and remove locally saved progress and preferences by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage. You can restore an eligible purchase through the game using the same store account. You can also manage Wood Fit’s access to your Google account through your Google Account settings. Age-group selection is part of the launch flow and is not shown in Settings. Eligible users can still reopen ad privacy choices in Settings to review or withdraw consent. If a saved age group is incorrect, contact us for help. You can decline the daily reminder permission and keep playing; change notification access later in your device settings. You can decline the optional rewarded ad and keep playing. Device-level controls may limit certain advertising, analytics, or diagnostic identifiers, depending on the platform.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy when the game, its services, or legal requirements change. The latest version and its effective date will remain available on this page.
